• Installation, Configuration & Upgrade of Unix and Linux operating systems.
• Installation Packages and patches.
• Configuration and Administration of DNS, NIS, NIS+, NFS, send mail.
• Installation, configuration and remediation of various Security software
• Jumpstart installation. Writing Shell and Perl Scripting for automation of job.
• Configuration and Administration of Veritas Cluster.
• Disk and File system management through Veritas Volume Manager.
• Research emerging technologies
• Installing new technologies to increase the organization’s efficiency and effectiveness
• Prepare an analysis of costs and benefits
• information systems and computing infrastructure upgrades
• Devise ways to add new functionality to existing computer systems
• Design and develop new systems by choosing and configuring hardware and software
• Conduct testing to ensure that the systems work as expected
• Train the system’s end users and write instruction manuals
• Analyze User Requirements; propose alternative solution in setting up local area network   and maintain existing network up and running.
• Install, configure and support local area network (LAN) for the organization depending on the need and monitor network to ensure network availability to all system users.
• Troubleshooting hardware, software and configuration problems for various protocols and topologies.
• Analyze, review and alter existing network to increase operational efficiency or adapt to new requirement.
• Manages network management architecture activities.
• Provide technical support to end users
